KwaZulu Natal, South Africa

South African Fly Drive

The area that lies between Johannesburg and the Indian Ocean is known as the Kingdom of KwaZulu Natal. The area encompasses the historic homelands of the Zulu nation, who were once most feared and respected throughout Southern Africa as one of the most powerful indigenous people. So much so that the name “Zulu” is the word for the letter Z in the International Aviation Alphabet.

The area has much to offer: the spectacular battlefields area where wars were fought between the Zulus, the Boars and the British for possession of the land and sovereignty and encompassed the greatest defeat and the greatest victory of the British Army, all within 24 hours. The majestic Drakensberg Mountains, with excellent walking, fishing, wild life viewing (non-cats) and some spectacular mountain retreats featuring fine cuisine. The beaches of the south coast including the vibrant city of Durban. There are nine blue flag beaches in this immediate area and it contains some of the finest beaches in the whole of South Africa, which is well endowed with great beaches. The area running up to the Mozambique border, which includes the St Lucia Wetlands with its game reserves.

Our fly drive embodies a wide selection of all that is best in this area. We urge you to contact us today for a copy of our brochure for a more detailed itinerary.
